An Ecumenical Capacity Building Project from 27 Nov to 12 Dec 2006 in Athens, Greece with the financial support of the Fellowship of Least Coin. The objectives of the project were two-fold: on the one hand to develop women’s basic skills in computer and English and on the other hand to offer an ecumenical experience of prayer, reflection and discussion. The ultimate goal was to increase those women’s contribution to the life of their churches and the ecumenical movement in Greece. The project was built on ten 3-hour sessions including 1 hour of ecumenical sharing (prayer, sharing, reflection), 1 hour computer training and 1 hour English course. The Course was entirely run by members of the Greek Forum. The evaluation was very positive: women felt empowered and amazed of the amount of knowledge acquired as well as blessed with the ecumenical spirit of the event. The project will run in other cities of Greece on the same format and we hope to organize an advanced course (phase II) for the participants to the first course.
